The broad-ranging 150-strong fleet operated by Willmotts Transport, one of the largest independent warehousing and distribution companies in the South West, now sees Tiger Trailers products account for over fifty percent of its trailer and rigid body assets following the logistics operator’s latest order for thirty more curtainsiders in parallel with adopting single-temperature refrigerated ‘reefer’ trailers, a number of rigid curtainsider truck bodies plus varying quantities of Tiger Rentals curtainsiders on short to long-term hire.
Up to this point, Willmotts Transport, which has now been operating for 102 years, has welcomed over 50 trailers and bodies from Tiger Trailers, ranging from curtainsiders and double decks to urban trailers and rigids, and its latest additional order of EN12642XL-rated curtainsiders in the firm’s ruby red livery incorporate non-slip plywood floors to comply with the ISO1496 standard in order to meet regulations governing Willmotts’ paper-carrying operations, demonstrating Tiger’s bespoke customer experience ethos as a manufacturer. Willmotts Transport is a member of Palletforce, holds Soil Association accreditation and offers 50,000 sq ft of warehousing and pallet space.
In addition to galvanised chassis and end frames for enhanced strength and durability, personalisation features of Willmotts Transport’s 30 new curtainsided trailers include branch guards, BPW axles, Goodyear Fuel Saver tyres contributing towards improved levels of refinement and wear, toolboxes, and additional internal and external LED lamps for safer operation.

In a move which provides extra versatility to Willmotts’ expansive customer list in the food and drink retail sector, the South West-based haulier has also introduced to its fleet 13.6m single-temperature chilled solutions from Tiger Trailers’ new Siberian range, which spans from home delivery vehicles and rigids to single and double deck trailers, available for purchase, through finance and leasing or via the manufacturer’s Tiger Rentals business, manufactured in partnership with Lecitrailer, one of the most prominent and trusted names in refrigerated commercial vehicles in Europe.
