The arrival of the festive break also marked a year since the completion of Tiger Trailers’ new 20-acre state-of-the-art home on Winsford Industrial Estate in Cheshire, the most advanced trailer and truck body manufacturing facility in the country.
Completed in December 2018 after just twelve months of dedication from construction and other contractors, our industry-leading and energy-efficient 168,000 sq. ft. factory and office complex is the only such site in the UK to encompass all stages from design, fabrication and assembly to painting and finishing all under one roof, along with training facilities, a 3D engineering suite and a stunning showroom that sets Tiger Trailers apart.
“Parallel to the significant benefits that our new base has enabled us to offer to our ever-expanding portfolio of clients, we are equally very proud of the way it has brought our team even closer, everyone from all around the business having clearly enjoyed the spacious and inspiring environment during our first twelve months here”, comments Joint Managing Director Steven Cartwright.
After just three months at our new £22 million site, we welcomed 50 more staff to the Tiger Trailers family, across both shop-floor and office-based roles, as part of our plan to boost Cheshire’s economy and that of the UK as a whole through the creation of 200 new jobs initially, with many more envisaged over subsequent years.
Apprenticeships are also close to our hearts, our founders’ father Alan Cartwright always having been passionate about providing people of all ages and from all backgrounds with rich opportunities for learning new skills to help them secure rewarding employment with an exciting future. Easter saw 45 apprentices timetabled for full-time roles with Tiger Trailers, followed by 15 additional apprentices enrolling in September, with three talented young rising stars receiving well-deserved Alan Cartwright Foundation Apprentice Awards during the last week before Christmas in recognition of their hard work.
