Tiger Trailers is committed to investing in developing skills for the future of the business, local communities around us in Cheshire and the North West, and the logistics and manufacturing sectors as a whole, so will be welcoming twelve apprentices to Tiger in September 2025 following the development and launch of our new apprenticeship programme.
This is a significant investment for Tiger and an exciting opportunity for us as a company to partner with The Manchester College and Total People, who share our passion for developing young people.
Applications for the programme are now live on the Government website, and also on Total People’s website.
Tiger is holding an open day for interested apprentices and their familes/other supportive persons on Saturday July 5th, which will be followed by an assessment and interview day later in the same month.
The apprentices joining Tiger Trailers in Winsford, Cheshire, will begin a three-year qualification to become a Level 3 ‘Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician’, which falls under the wider qualification of ‘Manufacturing in the Automotive Sector’.
This brand-new apprenticeship at Tiger Trailers offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes across all stages of heavy commercial goods vehicle trailer production. Apprentices will receive guidance from Tiger Trailers’ mentors to support their development in welding, assembly, body build, paint, PDI, and stores. This role is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of trailer manufacturing and help young people to build the skills necessary to excel in an industry which offers plentiful opportunities nationwide.
Those interested in becoming Tiger’s next apprentices in September 2025 must demonstrate a keen interest in trailer manufacturing, the desire to learn the industry’s techniques and processes, the ability to follow instructions and work in a team, show a strong commitment to safety and quality, and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Level 2 English and Mathematics needs to be completed prior to taking the end point assessment for the apprenticeship if not already achieved on entry.
