We are pleased to partner with Tiger Trailers and Wincanton to support our significant UK logistics operation. Working together, we maintained service throughout our UK network while bringing in this new fleet in a timely manner, in difficult market conditions, to allow a seamless transition in providers. DPD's sustainability strategy is based on examining every aspect of our operation to make it more efficient and better for the environment. We thrive on innovation and that’s exactly what Tiger is doing in the trailer space. We’ve ordered over 250 trailers from them to support our growth, all of which will be manufactured in the UK using the latest technology and greenest components. In fact, the material being used on the double-deck trailer panels is constructed in such a way as to be totally recyclable. We love working with suppliers who share the same values and goals and Tiger is certainly one such supplier.

We’re very pleased with our new ambient double deck trailers from Tiger, which are the result of our teams working closely together to achieve a new solution for our fleet. The trailers’ extra capacity and versatility signify an innovative step forwards and we’re delighted that they carry our new branding elements and messaging, 2020 having galvanised the customer relationship in an unprecedented way. Swiftly following the urban delivery rigid vans they produced for us in their most recent Hovis contract, we worked with Tiger to develop a solution that fits our operation perfectly. As always, the end result is impressive, and these trailers are already delivering great operational savings.

Darren and his colleagues certainly lived up to Tiger’s customer-first way of building trailers and his repeated visits to see our operations and understand our requirements first hand have resulted in new trailers that we are very happy with.
