Falcon Timber, a leading UK wood-based panel products and timber importer, distributor and solutions specialist, which is part of Consolidated Timber Holdings, has chosen Tiger Trailers to manufacture the very first semi-trailers to join its operations.
The five articulated, tri-axle trailers built by Tiger sport a black-painted galvanised chassis, meet EN12642XL specifications, and feature Falcon Timber’s new grey livery unveiled earlier this year, which replaces the former blue Falcon Panel Products branding.
Darren Little, Tilbury Site Manager, comments: “We are pleased to accept our first delivery from Tiger Trailers. Working closely with Shaun Robson from Close Brothers Vehicle Hire, Tiger Trailers were able to meet the specification and build timelines that we required.”
He adds: “We are extremely pleased with the build quality and spacious cargo capability, enabling the business to transport larger loads efficiently and safely. The new trailers will be a welcome addition to our fleet as our first Falcon Timber liveried trailers.”
With a braking system from Haldex, and an electrical system from Aspoeck, the timber company’s new curtainsiders will work alongside its rigid HGVs, vans and other vehicles, equipping them with greater load-carrying capacity between its growing network of sites. They will be based out of the firm’s Tilbury Depot and will service the south of England, driven by modern Mercedes-Benz tractor units.
