Tiger Unveils New Product at Cold Chain Hub 2024

It was unseasonably warm at the start of October for all things cool at this year’s Cold Chain Hub exhibition in Birmingham’s N.E.C. Organised by the Temperature Controlled Storage and Distribution magazine (TCS&D), the event invited industry leaders, manufacturers, and service providers to showcase their products in what was a vibrant celebration of the refrigerated transport and logistics industry.

Tiger’s offering came in the form of an 18-tonne rigid box van used to transport fresh groceries, and a brand-new double deck refrigerated trailer with a hydraulic moving deck, of which 6 have already been reserved by leading UK companies. The moving double deck refrigerated trailer, a company first for Tiger, makes complete Tiger’s refrigerated range of trailers (The Siberian Range), produced in their manufacturing facility in Winsford, Cheshire.

Darren Holland, Head of Sales at Tiger Trailers commented: “It’s a real privilege to display our products alongside some of the most-innovative companies in the cold chain. We are particularly proud of our moving double deck refrigerated trailer, and indeed we are confident that all our temperature-controlled vehicles provide an energy-efficient and long-lasting solution to any fleet”.

Attracting more than half as many people as last year’s event, across to two full days of exhibiting, many enjoyed seminar talks from the likes of the Road Haulage Association and Women in Cold Chain. The TCS&D Awards also took place on the evening of the first day of the exhibition, celebrating everything from sustainability and engineering efforts, to customer service, software, and rental solutions. Later in the award ceremony, the sales team at Tiger was privileged to present the award for Livery of the Year to the UK’s leading wholesale supplier, Brakes Foodservice.

The wide range of services under one roof reflected what is a multi-solution and complex industry, with honest reflection and exchange of ideas between companies paving the way to a more cooperative, more efficient, and less damaging cold chain for all.

Facing more challenges now than ever before, such as environmental concerns, rising operational costs caused by disrupted global supply chains, and a greater amount of regulatory compliance surrounding food transportation, the cold chain is under a unique threat; it is events like the Cold Chain Hub by TCS&D which foster a culture of openness and mutuality, in an ever-evolving industry with a bumpy road head.

Tiger Trailers has committed to exhibit at Cold Chain Hub 2025. Their refrigerated range can be found here: https://tigertrailers.co.uk/refrigerated-temperature-controlled-reefers-rigids/
