The new home of Tiger Trailers in Winsford is taking shape at an unbelievable rate. Every day there is an 80-strong team on behalf of building contractor Bowmer & Kirkland hard at work inside what will soon be the most advanced trailer and truck body manufacturing facility in the country.
The service yard has been completed, and within days we will be starting to move finished trailers to the site for secure parking – the first of many steps in transferring our operations.
Cladding to the walls and roof of the main building has been completed, and the team has turned their attention to laying the huge concrete slabs inside the manufacturing hall, together with the installation of all mini services – including ventilation, gas pipework, lighting and power.
Once complete, engineers will begin fitting out the main manufacturing hall during November and December as we prepare to turn this huge 168,000 ft² area into a facility housing our chassis fabrication, body assembly, paint and final finish areas all under one roof – something unique to Tiger Trailers in the UK.
Our new office block is also entering an advanced stage, with work having moved inside to the installation of ventilation, heating and electrics, and the plastering of partitions. Ceramic tiling and joinery will follow – to include the fitting out of our state-of-the-art 3D engineering suite, meeting rooms and specialist training facility to house our growing team.
Steven Cartwright, Joint Managing Director, says: “There’s real excitement in the air as we count down towards the move. Being so close to the site, we can literally see it taking shape every day and there is great anticipation amongst the Tiger team.
“We have a lot of work to do before then, and we’re busy recruiting and training the dozens of new team members who are coming on board to support this expansion phase.”
