Articulated HGV trailer and rigid bodywork manufacturer, Tiger Trailers, has teamed up with road safety charity Brake as a corporate sponsor for a duration of three years, at a time when the firm is increasing its CSR activities – and the two organisations have begun planning a number of collaborations.
With its large vehicle products prominently visible across the UK road network, possessing inherent dangers particularly around more vulnerable road users and people, Tiger Trailers is passionate to do all it can in raising road safety awareness in conjunction with Brake.
The Tiger Safety Team, set up by CSR Manager Alison Cartwright, will be launching a range of different safety initiatives over the coming months, starting with road safety in collaboration with Brake, before going on to include awareness and training initiatives focussed on specific situations and people in the factory, in communities and on the road.
Chris Willocks, Brake’s Corporate Partnership Manager, comments: “Brake is delighted to welcome Tiger Trailers on board as a corporate sponsor. They share a tangible desire to keep road users and communities safer around large vehicles. We are grateful for Tiger Trailers’ financial support and are excited about working with them on several joint projects.”
Tiger Trailers’ keen desire to give back to, support, and make a difference in its local communities, the haulage industry and the wider world is multi-faceted, and the company is also passionate about sustainability, striving to increasingly introduce environmentally efficient ‘green’ components and engineering approaches to its products, working alongside like-minded suppliers.
Alison Cartwright, Tiger Trailers’ CSR Manager and the founder of the Tiger Safety Team, says: “We have long been aware of the great work Brake does as a leading road safety promoter in the UK, so it’s fantastic to now be working with their team, with the end goal of keeping road users and other people safer around large vehicles. As a firm and employer keen to give back, Tiger Trailers is delighted to have agreed to support Brake for three years and we look forward to the exciting projects we’ve got planned.”
Tiger Trailers has recently been strengthening its CSR reach in general terms, too, having become a member of the Cheshire 100, part of the Cheshire Community Foundation, which distributes funds to local beneficiaries in the greatest need at any one time. Tiger also provides support to Veterans into Logistics, a LGV training organisation working to ease the UK’s truck driver shortage by providing jobs for ex-military, and their internal communications employee appreciation activities have been seen first hand by visiting dignitaries such as the Mayor of Winsford, the town in which the manufacturer is based.

About Brake
Brake is a national road safety and sustainable transport charity, founded in 1995, that exists to stop the needless deaths, serious injuries and pollution occurring on our roads every day. We work to make streets and communities safer for everyone, and care for families bereaved and seriously injured in road crashes. Brake’s vision is a world where there are zero road deaths and injuries, and people can get around in ways that are safe, sustainable, healthy and fair. We do this by pushing for legislative change through national campaigns, community education, services for road safety professionals and employers, and by coordinating the UK’s flagship road safety event every November, Road Safety Week. Brake is a national, government-funded provider of support to families and individuals devastated by road death and serious injury, including through a helpline and support packs.
