Coachbuilder // Factory Line 1
Tell us about your background
I’ve worked in the HGV trailer manufacturing industry for just over 5 years now. I was brought up local to Tiger’s factory in Winsford and I had a football scholarship until I was 18 before moving to Leeds to study sports marketing at university, which is quite the contrast to what I do now!
What is your role at Tiger?
I joined Tiger in 2018 after I moved back home from Leeds with no idea what I wanted to do in life. My friend Nathan Johnson who works in the Design Office got me a job as an Assembly Technician as I had no experience within the trailer industry. Fast forward five years and I’m now a Team Leader in Stage 6. I really enjoyed the opportunity to progress through the levels to become a skilled coachbuilder.
What is your biggest achievement?
I own a record label with my two best friends Brad and Euan. Reaching our first l million plays across streaming platforms like Spotify & Soundcloud felt like a great achievement.
Describe a typical weekend for you
Saturday afternoons I’ll have a football match and I’ll probably stay out afterwards for a few drinks if we win, or ten ifwe lose! Later in the evening I’ll either go out with some friends for food or something music related. Sundays I usually spend in the gym or recovering from whatever injury I’ve got from the day before which seems to be quite often the older I’m getting If not, I’m out walking my dogs Stan and Hatti.
What would be your Mastermind topic?
I’d say football or music as I think I’m quite clued up on both.
Name three things you can’t live without?
My laptop, my phone, and definitely my dogs.
