  • Follow health and safety regulations and processes to maintain safe working practices throughout the factory.
  • Assist in all stages of the build process across various departments.
  • Learn to safely operate and maintain power/air tools.
  • Use these tools on assembly tasks such as cutting, drilling, screwing, and fixing.
  • Follow instructions and work efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Support manual handling of build components to assist with production.
  • Preparing metal parts by cleaning, measuring, and aligning two or more components.
  • Perform quality checks on assembled components to ensure standards are met.
  • Participate in hands-on training, as well as any classroom or workshop activities.
  • Work closely with mentors and the leadership team to develop task-specific skills plus professional conduct in the workplace.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, and show a desire to learn and grow within the role.

BLOCK RELEASE TRAINING
Combine classroom learning with practical workplace experience. College sessions occur every 6 weeks for 3 days, delivered on site in Tiger’s training facility or at Total People’s Wythenshawe campus.

Working together, both Tiger Trailers and Total People will build confidence, competence and evidence to achieve your end-point assessment.

An apprenticeship is a job that combines on-the-job training with formal study, allowing individuals to earn a wage while gaining skills and qualifications.

They are open to applicants over 16 who have the right to work in the UK and who want to gain experience, upskill or just fancy changing career. And there are NO tuition fees to pay! The cost of the qualification is paid for by Tiger Trailers and the UK Government.

A Tiger Trailers apprenticeship will take 3 years to complete to gain a Level 3 qualification. Grade 4 passes in English and Maths are desirable entry requirements.

We will be welcoming 20 more apprentices to Tiger in September 2026, to join the 17 already on the course, which is a 3-year qualification with Total People to become a ‘Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician (EMT)’,

Gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes across all stages of trailer production. As an apprentice, you will receive guidance from Tiger Trailers’ mentors to support your development in assembly, body build, paint, PDI, and stores. This role is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of trailer manufacturing and help you build the skills necessary to excel in the industry.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend on either 12th or 20th August.

5. Start your apprenticeship!

Successful applicants will enrol at Tiger on 2nd September. Employment begins on 7th September.
