Santa has a new sleigh after Tiger Trailers supports the local Rotary club

Tiger Trailers is honoured to have had the opportunity to provide Santa and all his helpers at Winsford and Middlewich Rotary with a brand new sleigh for this Christmas and beyond, after “his last one was getting very old and stiff and hard for the reindeer to pull” in the words of the organisation’s Treasurer, Dr Peter Robinson.

The new sleigh, built and donated by Tiger Trailers on Road One of Winsford Industrial Estate, will this year be once again used by Santa to stop and chat with children, after the pandemic prevented this aspect of the Rotary’s much-loved festive calendar highlight twelve months ago.

Various #TeamTiger colleagues were involved with building Santa’s new sleigh for Winsford and Middlewich Rotary, among them Chris Evans and Pete Attyrde on the electrics, and Nathan Owen and Richard Bland on the chassis and related, overseen by Joint Managing Director John Cartwright and Production Director Barry Atherton. The eye-catching livery of Santa’s new charity fund-raising sleigh was provided by OPG Ltd.

President of Winsford and Middlewich Rotary, Ron Attley, comments: “Many thanks to everyone at Tiger Trailers for what they have done in providing a new Santa sleigh. To see a company take an interest in the local community is a credit to the organisation and everyone that works there.”

Additionally, Norman Kennish from the organisation says: “Grand group and they did a magnificent job building a terrific sleigh, the Rotary will make great use of it.”

Ron, Peter and others involved with the Rotary were invited to collect their new Santa sleigh from Tiger Trailers’ factory so that the manufacturer’s new safety mascot, Tiger Ted, could meet Santa, ride on his new sleigh with him and give him pointers on how its features work.

Tiger Trailers proudly supports charitable and other causes in its local county of Cheshire, having become a member of the Cheshire Community Foundation’s Cheshire 100 in summer 2021, launched the Tiger Safety Team school programme in the autumn, and held a number of other fundraisers such as Christmas Jumper Day, which raised money for Cheshire Buddies who support disabled children.

Alison Cartwright, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Tiger Trailers, comments: “It was our absolute pleasure to support Winsford and Middlewich Rotary, and of course Santa, in building a brand new sleigh for them. We’re sure it will bring smiles to many local children’s faces like it does each year, and Tiger Ted was thrilled to have a ride with Santa. Our local community means a great deal to us and we are always looking for ways to help.”
