Tiger Trailers introduced to GBA Services’ fleet with 20 initial curtainsiders
As it strives to realise its ten-year strategic vision to permeate every European market and become recognised as a top-twenty force in motor transport, Preston-based logistics firm GBA Services has invested in Tiger Trailers with the order of twenty tri-axle curtainsiders.
GBA Services’ fleet manager, Mark Hailwood, comments: “Tiger Trailers have always been accommodating to GBA from the enquiry stage right the way through to delivery. Handling specific complex requirements across two trailer models with ease, we already have six of our twenty trailers fully operational, which further increases our capacity and flexibility to meet our customers’ needs.”
Divided into ten 4,800mm Tallboy and ten 4,200mm trailers, each featuring clearspan, pillarless roofs to save weight and ultimately reduce fuel spend, GBA’s new 13.6m curtainsiders from Tiger Trailers comprise the first in the trans-European operator’s fleet to sport its new ‘Delivering Logistics Solutions’ slogan, the flush doors enabling the distinctive livery to be showcased more purely.
Preceded by a factory tour provided to GBA Services’ team, along with a comprehensive photography session, the first of the haulier’s Tiger Trailers departed the factory headed for its Scunthorpe depot, pulled by DAF XF units.
From conceptualisation and manufacture through to testing, completion and funding, Tiger Trailers’ team of designers, coachbuilders, finishers and finance specialists treats each customer and their unique requirements individually, making the complete, consultation-led and responsive process as tailored and seamless as possible.
“We want to thank Tiger Trailers for such warm hospitality and a VIP tour of the factory. It was extremely interesting and informative to see the state-of-the-art facility and high-class standard that goes into making Tiger Trailers great. We took delivery of our twenty-truck order and look forward to building a fantastic relationship with Tiger in the future”, comments GBA Services’ managing director, David J Birkbeck.
