Edge Transport gives its fleet added bite with another order from Tiger Trailers
Deeside-based logistics company, Edge Transport, has embarked on the collection of its latest order from Tiger Trailers with the addition of eight tri-axle curtainsiders that represent the sixth batch in an established and fruitful relationship.
Sporting Edge Transport’s stunning contemporary livery in grey, red and white, the 13.6m curtainsiders have been manufactured to the usual class-leading standards by Tiger Trailers at our state-of-the-art factory site in Cheshire.
“Since the outset, Tiger Trailers have never failed to demonstrate the utmost dedication and expertise in designing and manufacturing trailers that prove an asset to our fleet”, says Richard Pridding, Edge Transport’s Operations Director. “Tiger Trailers’ modern facility, knowledgeable team and efficient operations make it an easy decision for us to keep returning”, he continues.
EN 12642-XL compliance, a galvanised hot-dip chassis and a pillarless Clearspan roof design are the norm from Tiger Trailers and our team was once again delighted to take a consultative approach, collaborating closely with Edge Transport to ensure that the finished product meets our customer’s exact requirements.
An aerodynamic front panel was incorporated into the design to enable the haulier to reduce its fuel bill through optimised airflow, while suitable load-bearing capability has been ensured to provide Edge Transport with the flexibility it needs.
“We are always delighted to welcome Edge Transport back for further trailer orders, having built up such a seamless relationship between the two companies”, comments Tiger Trailer’s Technical Sales Manager Tom Stott.
He adds: “Going the extra mile and delivering added value for such a highly-regarded customer in the knowledge that our trailers and aftercare enable them to lend the same service levels to their own customers is a pleasure and we thank the Edge family, Richard and the rest of the team for their ongoing confidence in our products”.
Edge Transport prides itself on the friendly and efficient way in which it offers wider problem-solving expertise in the logistics sector, differentiating the firm from many other more traditional pallet distribution and warehousing companies. Edge Transport celebrated its 85th anniversary two years ago, Alfred Edge starting professional life as an owner-driver in 1933.
We value Edge Transport’s continued support and look forward to playing a key ongoing role in the firm’s dynamic future from its impressive 75,000 sq ft storage and distribution facility in Flintshire.
